Filitosa, 2015-2021

back.JPG

Despite being an inner, unconscious and mysterious mechanism, my interest in drawing  based in certain rustic and ancestral themes is recurring. The work process for this series starts exactly that way, it began with a series of photographs I took at a prehistoric site in 2015 (Filitosa, Corsica). Those images were then edited until they were emptied of backgrounds, colors, in short, everything that was not relevant to the only idea that interested me: the total focus on the forms and textures of the ancient stones, organic, thus juxtaposed, in constructions made by the hands of Man and Time, that shared with me the secret stories that I transcribed in the drawings.

I'm still working on this series so, possibly, soon I will add some new drawings here on the site.
