Until the end of this year, three works I've made between 2020 and 2021, during lockdown times, will be available at O Gabinete de Madame Tao. These drawings are based on a couple of frames from the film Satyricon (Fellini, 1969), interpreted in indian ink and gouache and then assembled in sets of four folding pages like leporellos.
O Gabinete de Madame Tao is a hybrid space dedicated to art and paper; on one side, a contemporary design gallery and an artist's studio; on the other, a boutique of Asian craft papers and second-hand books (mainly art books, essays and children's books in English, Portuguese and French). It also hosts workshops and cultural events.
